Youth University Creative Arts

Over 120 parents and young learners attended the final day in the Newquay Tretherras Youth University programme.

The Creative Art theme saw students and parents work on a range of creative outcomes making grotesque gargoyles, cheerleading routines, action packed animations, emotional drama scenes and pop music arrangements.

Mr Tristan White, who co-ordinates the Youth University programme commented, “The Youth University programme has always been about sharing experiences. It is wonderful that so many children and their parents want to give up their Saturday mornings to come into school and learn together.”

Students were presented with certificates at the end of the morning’s sessions.

The Tretherras Youth University programme continues to impress young students and parents. One parent commented, “It has made my daughter feel a lot more confident about moving schools through the encouragement of the staff, and she has an enthusiasm to learn more at Tretherras.”

Mr. White also co-ordinates the transition programmes between Newquay Tretherras and local primary schools. If you have any further questions about choosing your school before the closing date on the 31st of October please contact him on the main school number 01637 872080.
