On Tuesday 4th March, the second round of NT Chef took place with five Year 8 students going head to head in a battle of culinary skills.
Iwan Ellis-Davies won with his sausage & parmesan homemade ravioli with stuffed mushrooms whilst Millie Blakeburn came in a close second for her gooey chocolate brownies. Both of these students will go on to compete in the semi-final against the other year group heat winners.
The other dishes sampled by the judges included a sponge cake by Zoe Dann, a seafood curry from Jake Gough and a pasta sauce dish by Hannah Brown.
Mr Nicholls commented, “It was pretty close all in all and it’s going to be really interesting to see what they put together in the next round!”
