Year 8 make Christmas Shoeboxes for Penberthy’s Care Home and Cornwall Hospital for the Elderly

Year 8 Students at Newquay Tretherras busily prepared Shoeboxes for Penberthy’s Care Home and Cornwall Hospital for the Elderly.

With donations from across the Year 8 group, 59 shoeboxes were created.

On Wednesday, Bethan Parsons, Samuel Lane, Will Hall, Emily Ryan, Katie Anning, Emillia Rundle, Emily Inns, Emma Porter-Chapman, spent time chatting with the residents before giving them the Christmas Shoeboxes.

Head of Year Miss Jane Hurley commented, “The Newquay Tretherras Year 8 students were fantastic. The residents were overwhelmed with the gifts and it showed a great community spirit from the youngsters.”
