Year 8 County Netball Tournament

On Friday the 7th of March, the year 8 netball team had our county tournament. We played away at Penair, against lots of schools from Cornwall. The day was very exciting, having 8 games to play; it was exhausting. Our second game we played was against Redruth we won 5/4 it was close however, we did well to win. Lucy Pratt got a good shot from quite far away at the last minute, the defenders (Eve Furniss, Morgan Sale and Mia Grosvenor) were really strong on this game and the same with the attacker’s (Luci Gee, Hannah Robinson, Tegan Retallick, Olivia Marshall and Lucy Pratt.) Then we had other games, where we didn’t do as well as the others. Our second pool was really good though because we drew against Wadebrige; that was a tough, hard game. The score was 6/6 the attackers were the strongest in this game. St Ives: we won 9/1 very good game seeing as they worked hard. Against Humphrey Davy school we won 4/1 It was quite good however, we could of done a little better. The defenders did really well on this game. Overall we had a really fun, good day. We made our team chant with a dance to it; to scare off the other team. We thank Mrs Pearce for being an excellent coach and organising a brilliant day. We have had a really good season in netball this year and cannot wait until it all starts again.
