Aston Martins, Ferraris, Jaguars, Porches, Rolls Royces , and even a three-wheeled Robin Reliant paraded up to the Atlantic Hotel for the glamorous Newquay Tretherras Prom Night.
Watched by a large public crowd that had arrived early to get a good viewing spot, nearly 200 Year 11 Newquay Tretherras students arrived to the Hotel on Friday 1st July.
A beautiful banquet room, with views over Newquay bay and even a rainbow, hosted the guests for their evening meal. Headteacher Mrs Fairbairn and many other staff sat with students during their meal and reflected on their time at Newquay Tretherras.
After dinner speeches saw Prom Night winners announced; Best Couple went to Lauren Jakeman and Harry Higgins, Prom King and Queen went to Taylor Reeder and Melissa Heane, Best Arrivals went to Tia Wright, Rachel Millington and Anna Knight who arrived in a horse-drawn cart guided up by Kaan Sezek, Best Dressed Gentlemen went to Keenun Crook and Rob Donald, Best Dressed Ladies went to Storm Bennett and Sheree Vinodrai, Prom Prince went to Quillan Shaw and Prom Princess went to Oriana Hughes.
Mrs Schiavo-Tench, Deputy Head of Year 11 at Newquay Tretherras, who co-ordinated the evening commented, ‘It was an wonderful night, made by the remarkable Newquay Tretherras students and their dedicated staff. A huge thank you to everyone involved and to the Atlantic Hotel for their support.’
The students will all meet again on 25th August when they will collect their GCSE results.
