Last Friday, over 200 students from Newquay Tretherras dressed to impress as they attended their Year 11 prom, held at The Atlantic Hotel.
Hundreds of members of public watched on as students arrived in a variety of modes of transport, including an open top bus, Porsches, a number of VW camper vans.
On the night, awards were given for Prom King and Queen, Best Dressed, Best Couple and Best Arrival, the last of which went to Keilan James for his arrival on a vintage steamroller.
Mr John Preece, Head of Year 11, said this to his students, “”I am incredibly proud of each and every one of you, and you all look amazing. I wish I could take the credit for how far you have grown and improved over the years but your form tutors and teachers deserve recognition for their hard work and support.
He continued, “However, the most important people that have really made the difference are you. It is down to your hard work, perseverance and efforts. Tonight is your night and you deserve the recognition. Congratulations on being a fantastic year group.”
