Summer Art & Photography Exhibition

The Lighthouse Cinema is getting ready to host the Newquay Tretherras Summer Art Exhibition. For the fourth year in a row, the main foyer will showcase the artwork of GCSE and A Level Art and Photography students.
Running from the 28th of June until the 6th of July people visiting the exhibition will see a diverse and creative range of Art and Photography created at Newquay Tretherras.
The works on display are pieces students have submitted for the GCSE and A Level qualifications. With the high standard of work on display, the Newquay Tretherras Art Department are hoping it will lead to another set of excellent results.
Mr Strugnell, Head of Art at Newquay Tretherras commented, “Each year we hold an exhibition to celebrate and share the success of our amazingly gifted and hardworking students and are so proud as a department to see our creative and dedicated students produce such personal and meaningful work.”
Mr Strugnell added, “We hold the exhibition in the Lighthouse Cinema to bring the exhibition into the heart of the community. We would like to thank the Lighthouse Cinema once again for allowing us to continue to do so. We strongly believe that we are producing the next generation of creatives for what is such an important industry here in the South West.”
The preview evening is on Tuesday 28th June from 7.00pm onwards and the Newquay community is warmly invited to attend. The exhibition runs until 6th July and is open to the general public during the Light House Cinema opening times.
