Successful PTA Winter Craft Fayre and Indoor Tabletop Carboot

The Newquay Tretherras Parent Teacher Association are delighted after another successful Winter Craft Fayre and Indoor Tabletop Carboot, held last weekend.

This year the PTA weekend event raised over £3500, that will go towards supporting curriculum activities and trips for Newquay Tretherras students.

The Winter Fayre itself did not disappoint, full of festive magic with stalls busy selling their unique handcrafted gifts. It is the largest of its kind in Cornwall and so popular that the Winter Craft Fayre is already booked out for 2017. The Indoor Table Top Carboot has already started take bookings for next year too. You can book now  online from the school website at

Mr. Richard Higginson, Assistant Headteacher at Newquay Tretherras commented, “Many personal thanks to all those involved in the Winter Craft Fayre and Indoor Table Top Carboot sale. It was a fantastic event and I was overwhelmed by the support shown by staff to make it such a success. There are too many people to thank but particular thanks go to the PTA who do such a fantastic job with both events and Mrs Humphreys, Miss Barber and Miss Maunder who help co-ordinate the weekend.’

There will be a PTA meeting in the New Year to prepare for receiving bids from school’s departments, club and trip organisers to begin the process of allocating the raised funds.
