Success for First Ever NT Careers Fayre

On Wednesday 3rd June, Newquay Tretherras held it’s first ever Careers Fayre which saw over 200 students attend as well as a guest appearance from Titan the Robot!

Over 28 local and national exhibitors were on show for students and their parents to talk to and gain information on the range of career paths on offer.

Half way through the evening, a crowd gathered for Newquay’s local celebrity, Titan (from Cyberstein Robots Ltd) who scared some, but wowed others, with his cheeky mechanical charm.

A Year 8 student, Leni Milne commented, “It was really helpful in expanding my mind of what I want to do in the future!”

Ms Sara Jeffery, Careers Co-ordinator said, “The aim was to inspire our students by giving them something to work towards, and I think we did just that. Following its success, we are hoping our Careers Fayre will become an annual event here at Tretherras.”
