Sixth Form Prom 2017

The annual Newquay Tretherras Sixth Form Prom gave a moment for students and staff to celebrate the end of a seven year journey for many of the students, on 1st July 2017.

A relaxed and enjoyable evening of over 100 guests made their way to the Carnmarth Hotel to celebrate their time together before Results Day and heading off to University, Apprenticeships or Employment.
Guests enjoyed plentiful good food, followed by the obligatory custom Prize Awards handed out by Mr Booth, Post 16 Lead Co-ordinator of the Newquay Tretherras Sixth Form.
Amongst the prize winner, Mr Booth celebrated Sixth form Teacher Mr Tim Rapier, who after 16 years of organising the Year 13 prom steps down.
Mr Booth, Lead Co-ordinator at Newquay Tretherras Sixth Form commented, “ Sixth Form at Newquay Tretherras is ’a golden time’, where many memories are built, and experiences are gained. I am honoured to have worked with a marvellous group of young people, who are hardworking and enthusiastic. We wish them all the best with their future studies, applications to University and travels around the world.”
