PTA Winter Craft Fayre Sets Tone for Festive Season

On 22nd and 23rd November, Newquay Tretherras held it’s annual Parent Teacher Association Christmas Craft Fayre and Indoor Table TopCar Boot.
The event is the biggest craft fair in the county and raises funds to support clubs, trips and activities at the Newquay school.
Both days were quickly booked up and organisers had to make arrangements for extra stalls to be added due to overwhelming demand. It is estimated that the PTA weekend has raised approximately £3000 so far.
Mr. Richard Higginson event organizer said, ‘A big thank you to all involved in organising the weekend and to all the school staff who supported the stalls over the weekend. The fantastic festive atmosphere made it a big success.’
The continued success of Craft Fayre has meant that the PTA have already taken 19 bookings for the Winter Craft Fayre 2015.
There will be a PTA meeting in the New Year to prepare for receiving bids from schools departments and begin the process of allocating the raised funds.
