On Monday 22nd June, Newquay Tretherras invited a number of local professionals and agencies to see and discuss the schools brand new Integrated Health Centre.
The Integrated Health Centre will promote positive health and lifestyle choices for all students at both Newquay Tretherras and Newquay Junior. It will be a place where health and other professionals can meet with children, young people and their families to provide information, advice and guidance on a wide range of health and emotional well-being issues.
The day saw over 15 different agencies attend including Newquay Health Centre, Primary Mental Health Services, Cornwall Healthy Schools and the Early Help Team.
Miss Jenna Grassick, Integrated Health Co-ordinator at the school said, “The event was hugely successful for us, and the feedback we received was outstanding, with new services interested in building new relationships enhancing our pastoral support in school.”
She continued, “The Integrated Health Centre will be open from September, at which stage all students will be invited to see the space and learn how they can access these services.”
