Close Competition for Year 9 NT Chef

Due to lots of interest from the Year 9s in participating in NT Chef, two heats were held for the year group with some delicious meals and puddings being produced from both.

In the first heat, Rebecca Booth took first place with her technically challenging profiteroles whilst Philippa Stockdale came in a close second for her Swedish fishcakes.

The second group saw the students create such outstanding dishes that the judges had to put through three students to the semi-final as they were unable to choose between them.

These students were Althea Read who produced a Parma ham wrapped asparagus dish, Danielle Burns with her bacon wrapped chicken with vegetable rice and Lilly-Rose Jeffery who created profiteroles.
