Once again, Olympic bronze medallist Cassie Patten gave up her time to work with Newquay Tretherras students to inspire and encourage them in their sporting lives.
Before the sessions, she gave a presentation on her career, showing the students how she came from humble beginnings to eventually competing in the Olympics alongside Rebecca Addlington.
Afterwards, she led practical classes, focusing on teamwork and teaching the pupils the importance of working as an effective team to ensure success.
Helen Bray, one of Tretherras’ PE teachers said, “The sessions were extremely beneficial for the students. Some have commented that it’s made them reassess their commitment and the work they put into their sport outside of school which is fantastic.”
