Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra Hold Open Session at NT

Members of the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra paid a visit to Newquay Tretherras school to hold an open session with a range of Music students.

The BSO quintet listened to a number of performances before offering suggestions and advice to the musicians on how to improve their pieces.

The group also played for an audience of parents and students then joined an extended Newquay Strings rehearsal later in the day.

One of the parents in attendance said, “It was a really charming evening and it was wonderful to meet and chat with the BSO Quintet. Newquay Strings played very well and I thoroughly enjoyed the event.”

Mrs Rhian Knight, Acting Head of Music at Tretherras commented, “This session with the BSO has been so valuable to our budding musicians. They provided our students with valuable constructive comments that I know our children will use to improve.”
